Creating a Champion’s Mindset – Work Ethic Transfer

The number one reason I see most people fail in bodybuilding isn’t due to genetics.  It isn’t due to a lack of knowledge.  Surprisingly, it isn’t even due to a lack of effort.  Inevitably, the number one reason why people often fall short of their goals is because of an inability to transfer work ethic into all facets of life.

Going to the gym is easy, for most.  Training is almost therapeutic at times.  It doesn’t take motivation to head to the gym and put in the effort.  Under an optimal framework, let’s suppose you’ll be in the gym for, at most, one hour.  That leaves 23 hours each day that can be wasted if our work ethic isn’t transferred.  You know the same amount of intensity you put into a heavy set of deadlifts?  Transfer that same amount of energy into everything you do.  I promise you’ll be absolutely amazed at how much more enjoyable and fruitful your life will become.  This needs to be directed into all areas, not just those that are bodybuilding related.  As mentioned the gym is easy.  It’s more difficult to eat what you need to and when you need to, but it’s still relatively easy for many.  Your efforts need to be transferred into everything – your job, your family and social life, cleaning your house, etc.  Every little facet of life needs to be approached with 100% effort.  If it’s worth doing, it’s worth giving your all.
